# May Best Dallas Med Spa give you firmer ground.

A guide for Dallas readers, with questions worth taking along.

I want more than a list of favorites. Give me a name I can check, a clear answer about responsibility and room for an awkward question. Here, best means five answers worth taking home.

Five criteria, no total to calculate.

## Credentials I can check

Who, exactly, would be treating me?

I’d ask for the full name and role of the person doing the procedure. The [Texas Medical Board’s license search](https://www.tmb.texas.gov/resources/for-the-public/look-up-a-license) covers doctors and physician assistants, including board actions, such as disciplinary orders, where they apply. That’s a record I can read.

Then I’d ask about their experience with this procedure. A license and relevant experience are two questions, and I want an answer to each. The [credentials chapter](/credentials) walks through the checks.

## Texas supervision with a name

Who is responsible when the plan changes?

As of October 2026, the [Texas Medical Board treats nonsurgical cosmetic medical procedures as medicine](https://www.tmb.texas.gov/node/3861). A doctor can delegate these tasks: let appropriately trained people carry them out under supervision. For the delegated procedures covered by [these Texas rules](https://www.law.cornell.edu/regulations/texas/title-22/part-9/chapter-169), that includes a written protocol and an assessment by a doctor, physician assistant or advanced practice registered nurse before the procedure.

I’d want that doctor’s name and an explanation of who can help with a problem. Supervised becomes useful once someone explains how it works. The [Texas supervision chapter](/texas-supervision) follows that question through.

## A consultation that leaves room

Can I explain what I want without agreeing today?

I want to explain the proposal back: possible benefits, limits, risks and other options. That’s the point of [informed consent, as MedlinePlus explains it](https://medlineplus.gov/ency/patientinstructions/000445.htm). A signature wouldn’t tell me whether I’ve understood.

I’d also ask what happens if I wait. I want an answer about waiting, not another round of persuasion. The [consultation chapter](/consultation) makes room for the questions that don’t fit a cheerful pitch.

## Aftercare I can use at home

What would I do with a concern that evening?

What I hear in the consultation and read in the take-home instructions needs to line up. I want to know whom to contact that evening, and what happens if they aren’t available.

The [American Academy of Dermatology includes recovery and aftercare in its consultation questions](https://www.aad.org/public/cosmetic/safety/ask-questions). I’d want written instructions and a follow-up plan for the proposed procedure. A friendly goodbye leaves quite a lot unanswered.

For help with your own recovery, talk with a licensed clinician who can assess you. The [aftercare and policies chapter](/aftercare-and-policies) helps you pin down the questions while there’s time to ask.

## Policies I can read without guessing

What have I agreed to, and what remains a choice?

I’d read the cancellation, refund, follow-up and photography terms before agreeing. What happens if I change my mind, or the clinician advises against treatment? I want those answers in writing.

For me, best needs five clear answers. There are no points to add up, and a lovely room can’t fill in a missing answer. The [about page](/about#meaning-of-best) explains how I use the word.

I keep this as a reading guide, not a clinic, pharmacy or seller of treatments.
