Credentials, Texas supervision, the conversation and what happens afterward. A reading guide for a considered decision.

# Best is a word I want to be able to explain.

[The five criteria](/)

Rules described as of October 2026.

Best sounds final. I’d rather have a meaning I can explain. This guide is for Dallas readers who want to ask clear questions about a proposed cosmetic procedure, the people responsible and the terms around it. The aim is a useful conversation, with enough room to wait or walk away.

## Five answers, with no score to add up

I use five criteria: credentials, Texas supervision, the consultation, aftercare and policies. They’re questions to work through, with no score or winner. A clear answer about credentials still leaves an unanswered question about aftercare sitting right there.

I’d want evidence I can use: a full name, a license record, a plain explanation or terms I can read again. A reassuring adjective wouldn’t give me much to check. If I don’t understand, I’d try asking another way.

You can be friendly about an awkward question. I don’t think asking for a name or another explanation needs an apology. My test is whether I can explain the answer afterward. If I can’t, I’d want another conversation.

## Dallas is where the reader lives

This is a reading guide for someone considering care in Dallas. It isn’t a clinic address or a list of neighborhood favorites. The Texas pages focus on the people and rules behind a proposed procedure. There are no business reviews or personal treatment stories here.

I’d use these questions wherever in Dallas the conversation happens. I want to hear who does what, what the proposal involves and where to turn afterward. The answer still has to connect to the person and procedure being discussed.

## Keep facts and preferences clear

The factual statements link to sources you can open. The [references page](/references) describes them in plain words. When I write about what I’d ask or want in writing, that’s my way of weighing an answer; it doesn’t create a legal requirement.

Rule summaries are dated October 2026. They aren’t a ruling on a particular business. I’d take an unclear rule question to the relevant board. Questions about your own health belong with a licensed clinician who can assess you.

## Read the part you need

The [credentials chapter](/credentials) covers names and records; [Texas supervision](/texas-supervision) follows responsibility. The [consultation chapter](/consultation) makes room for the decision, and [aftercare and policies](/aftercare-and-policies) looks at what happens later. Pick the question in front of you. You don’t have to finish every chapter to ask it.

Five questions, kept open.

I keep this as a reading guide, not a clinic, pharmacy or seller of treatments.
